The RSIC Security Strap is specifically designed for high abuse or security areas where the gypsum board is part of the secure space. The RSIC Security hold the hat channel / furring channel in the RSIC clip up to 185 lbs per connection. This security strap is also great for use in seismic zones when a mechanical connection is required.
By applying a RSIC Security Strap you increase static and dynamic load safety margin over two thousand (2,000) percent!
