Buy by the bucket and save. Our most popular soundproofing product Green Glue Damping Compound can be purchased in 5 Gallon Buckets. Approximate coverage of 385 square feet per bucket (when using two loads per 4 x 8 sheet). Bulk Caulking Guns are highly recommended and available on our site. If you would like to trowel on the Green Glue then we recommend using a 1/8" x 1/8" v-notched trowel, this should give you the right amount of Green Glue needed. Be prepared to getting somewhat less coverage per bucket when using a trowel.

***New*** Some of our Flooring contractors have now started installing Green Glue in between the sub floor and strips of Hardwood Flooring. By using the trowel they say they are able to keep the bead of Glue low enough that it does not come up when joining the strips. We recommend using a 2nd sub floor on top of the Green Glue and then applying your flooring. This will give added mass to your floor which is always good for sound control. However when that is not an option we are glad that we can now recommend this option of using the Green Glue directly between the sub floor and hardwood. [Be advised that you cannot put any felt paper or other non rigid membrane between the GG and flooring as you will not achieve the desired damping results].
