Door Type / Thickness: Model is compatible with wooden doors, with a minimum thickness of 1-3/8".

Finishes: Available in aluminum mill finish.

Seals: Sponge neoprene seal

Mounting: Door bottom fully mortised so it does not alter the appearance of the door, making it perfect for decorative doors, upscale condos, dormitories, commercial buildings and luxurious hotels.

How it Works: This product utilizes a concealed flat spring mechanism which is activated by the pressure of closing the door (The brass nut at the head gets pushed in by the door jamb, which lowers the seal). The high quality neoprene rubber seal drops, filling gaps up to 3/8”, upon the closing of door to create a tight seal and raises up automatically when the door is opened to ensure smooth door operation. Our door bottoms have been tested through 5 million cycles and provide the same excellent quality as our mortised automatic door bottom. For more information, see About Automatic Door Bottoms.

Easy Access End Caps: Easy Access End Caps and Automatic Door Bottom can be removed for cleaning and maintence without removing the door. ADB can optionally be screwed into door through existing mounting screws holes.

Handing: Models is reversible, compatible with both right and left handed doors.

Installation: End plates, counter plates and screws provided.

A surface mounted application can be applied without removing the door from its hinges. For a semi-mortised, if the rabbet in the door is cut-out already, the door does not need to be removed. For a fully mortised application the door should be removed before starting.

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR DOOR BOTTOM:

Prepare your Door

Remove door and cut mortise in bottom of door as per the dimensions of the provided product specs (see Figure 1).

NOTE: If a door is fire labeled or of special construction, mortise preparation must be done by the door manufacturer.

You can trim from the edge up to one inch of the screw on the side wall of the ADB (see Figure 3).

STEP 3: APPLY YOUR AUTOMATIC DOOR BOTTOM:

Apply your Door Bottom

With door removed from opening, install the door bottom with plunger at the hinge side, fasten with screws provided and
install door in opening (see Figure 4).

STEP 4: ADJUSTING YOUR AUTOMATIC DOOR BOTTOM:

Adjust your Door Bottom Screw the actuating plunger in or out as required until the gasketing just touches the
