Mortised Astragal with Neoprene Seal - Quick Ship

Double doors are typically the weakest link in any partition that is designed to block sound. This is often due to poor sealing around the perimeter of the door. Astragals, Gasketing, Automatic Drop Seals and Doorway Thresholds can all be used to prevent sound from leaking through cracks between and around the door perimeter.

• An Astragal is a molding that closes the clearance gap between a pair of doors.  This astragal is made of an aluminum track and a reversible solid neoprene seal. Astragal is rated for smoke.
• The aluminum track is fully mortised into a .750” x .218” channel in the door panel. The fully mortised aspect of this meeting stile ensures the door maintains a clean look, ideal for high end designer doors and luxury condos.
• The neoprene seal is reversible and can be used along its solid or fingered side. The protruding fingers compensate for any gaps created by poor door installation or natural warping of the door. The seal compresses against opposite door to create an airtight seal.
• Solid neoprene seal is made of high quality material that will not wear. The rubber remains flexible in cold weather and does not become soft in the heat, even through frequent usage
• Available in aluminum mill finish and is sold in 3 sizes

Before Completing Your Purchase:

Review product specs to ensure product is compatible with your door. Astragal requires a channel in the door measuring .75” x .218” and the gap between doors at approximately .25”. Measure the height of your door and select the length from above.
