Single Astragal with Sponge Neoprene Seal

Double doors are typically the weakest link in any partition that is designed to block sound. This is often due to poor sealing around the perimeter of the door. Astragals, Gasketing, Automatic Drop Seals and Doorway Thresholds can all be used to prevent sound from leaking through cracks between and around the door perimeter.

• An Astragal is a molding that closes the clearance gap between a pair of doors.  This astragal is made of an aluminum track and thick closed cell sponge neoprene seal which will create a strong seal to prevent sound leakage. Astragal is rated for smoke.
• The aluminum track is surface mounted to the active door in double door set. The casing is punched with elongated slots to allow for some adjustments after installation.
• The thick closed cell sponge neoprene seal can close gaps up to approximately .75”.
• Available in aluminum mill finish
