Before You Begin:

• TubeTak Pro is viewed as a permanent adhesive.   Prior to mounting, mark desired panel locations on the wall with small pencil marks or masking tape. 
• If you need to cut your Studiofoam, it is recommended to use a straight edge and an electric carving knife.  Don't force the knife; let the blades do the work.

Preparing The Tube:

• Read all instructions properly.
• First cut off the tip of the nozzle.  In order to get the best usage and control, it's important to cut off the tip of the nozzle correctly. Introducing a bit of an angle into the nozzle will increase the ease of installation.
• Break the internal seal using a long nail and some pressure.  Once bond is broken,  a bit of Tubetak should show on the tip of the nail.
• Insert TubeTak into any standard caulking gun.

How To Apply:

• There are a couple of patterns to use while applying TubeTak Pro.  Either use several horizontal lines or to use a bit less adhesive, you can make an x in middle of the foam then some horizontal and vertical lines to fill in around it.
• Since TubeTak Pro is a contact adhesive, wait a period of time after applying it to the back of the panel before trying to adhere the panel to the wall.
• Tubetak Pro typically works better if it is spread thin, use a putty knife if needed.  If the adhesive seems to take a while to dry (cure time can be dependent on humidity and other environmental factors), you may consider supporting the panel in place with a T-pin or finish nail.
• Place foam on the prepared markings on the wall, then simply press into place with the palm of your hands to spread out the TubeTak beads therefore creating more contact area for adhering to the wall.
• Wait a couple of hours for full adhesion to occur.
• For heavy foams or ceiling applications, use some alternate form of support such as T-pins to hold the foam in place until full adhesion is reached.

Please Note:

• TubeTak Pro is considered a permanent installation.  Removing the panel after the adhesive has cured can result in some damage to the Studiofoam and the mounting surface.  Auralex is not responsible for any damage to walls, floors, ceiling or overall structure that occurs doing installation or removal of our products.  Try using a flat edge knife to carefully scrape the panel away from the wall to minimize tearing, and then use a citrus-based adhesive remover.

• Returns:
  • All sales are final except in the case of a manufacturing defect.
  • We will accept returns up until 60 days from the date of purchase.  The boxes need to be unopened with no damage and a 25% restocking fee will be charged.
  • Please call or email us to receive an RMA number before returning. No returns will be processed without an RMA number.  
  • We will provide you with a shipping address when giving you an RMA number.
  • Return shipping is customer's responsibility. 
  • If you are shipping via USPS (not recommended) do NOT require signature as we will not be able to pick up your package from local post office facility.
