Noisy waste pipes are a nuisances to some people and outright disturbing to others. The sound of rushing water in the ceiling and/or Walls is definitely not pleasant.
This Pipe Wrap offers a simple solution. Just cut the wrap down the middle and snap it around the pipe to greatly muffle any sounds eminating from the pipe. Be sure to cover joints as well. You want the entire exposed pipe (from floor to ceiling) covered.
We then recommend that you fill the bay with insulation and finish your wall/ceiling with 2 layers of drywall with a damping compound, like Green Glue, in between. You will be amazed at how much of the sound is eliminated.
Keep in mind that not always is there room in the bay for a thick covering around the pipes. therefore you can frame deeper walls to allow for pipe wraps around your pie. We give you the option of choosing from a half inch up to a 2 inch thick pipe wrap.
Sometimes even air pipes can be conduits to carry noise/conversation from one room/floor to the next and pipe wrap can be beneficial for those pipes too.
Check the Diameter of your pipes. We offer wrap for 2, 3 and 4 inch pipes. Other sizes are available upon request. Sold per piece and each piece is 6 feet long.
