Proper sealing of your door frames is a must in any serious soundproofing project, as sound waves can easily penetrate through small gaps around your door. This Adjustable Door Gasket is an easy to install and affordable head and jamb protection option. The gasket is installed on your stop molding of the door frame which allows for a tight seal.

Not sure what size you need? See our installation guide on how to measure for your perimeter door gasket. If you are unsure of the exact size required, order longer than necessary as this product can easily be trimmed with a standard hacksaw.
Sizing: Door Gaskets are priced per set. Each set includes one 36" Header and two 84" Jambs.

To complete the perimeter of your door frame, purchase an Automatic Soundproof Door Bottom to effectively seal the gap under doors.
Measure your door-frame and review the product specs to ensure you will be satisfied with the way it will be installed.
When installing, it is recommended that this product be set in a bead of caulking to ensure the integrity of the seal and prevent additional sound transmission. Alternatively you can also use a clear silicone bead along the edges.

How to Measure for a Perimeter Door Gasket: |

First measure the Door Stop along the header (top) of your door from side to side (see Figure 1). Next, measure the full length of your jamb (sides of your door), from the floor surface or doorway threshold to the top of your door header. You can easily resize the door gasket on the field if necessary, so you might want to leave ½”- ¾” (.5” - .75”) room for error. |

How to Install a Perimeter Door Gasket: |

STEP 1: MEASURE AND TRIM DOOR GASKET |

First measure and test the header piece to ensure it is not too long. |

STEP 2: INSTALL THE HEADER PIECE |
||

Close the door and position the header piece. Seal should simply make light contact with the door. Mark screw position in the center of the hole and drill pilot holes. Secure header gasket with screws supplied (see Figure 3). Test the door to ensure gasket is positioned correctly. If necessary, loosen screws, reposition gasket and tighten screws again. |

STEP 3: INSTALL THE JAMB PIECES |

Repeat Step 2 above for your jamb pieces (see Figure 4). |
