Noise Tolerance Levels: Oblivion

Filed under: Noise Tolerance Levels — Tags: — admin @ 7:49 am

There are, believe it or not, four main types of people when it comes to noise: those who are oblivious, those who swear it doesn’t bother them, those who can deal with it but aren’t happy, and those who absolutely abhor any interruptions to their daily routine.

Today we’ll talk about the first group, in which about 50-60% of the population falls. People who are oblivious to noise simply don’t understand what it means to life a noise-free life. They truly believe they are used to the noise and that you’ll get used to it too. The problem is that you don’t have to get used to noise if you don’t want to.

Is it better to be oblivious to noise or happy when you sit up one evening and realize there is actually no noise at all? We’d tend to lean towards the latter and hope that those who are currently “oblivious” to noise will near a bit about soundproofing so that they can enjoy a quieter life with the rest of us!
