Extreme Hold Adhesive - an advancement of high performance sealants - a hybrid polymer chemistry designed to withstand weathering, extreme environmental conditions and severe climate.
Application: Extreme Hold Adhesive is a universal product, ideally for commercial and residential glass and windows, window manufacturing and perimeter edge sealing; residential doors and siding; roofing applications; specialty vehicle assembly and repair; radon sealant; and many other applications. Extreme Hold Adhesive has excellent adhesion to many substrates including PVC, vinyl, plastics, EPDM rubber roofing, Kynar coated materials, unpainted and painted metals, aluminum, steel, glass, concrete, marble, brick, and wood. Extreme Hold Adhesive can be applied to wet and damp surfaces, is UV stable, and can be used in rain and snow in temperatures as low as 30°F. Extreme Hold Adhesive cures quickly to reduce dirt build-up.
Physical Properties: Upon cure, Extreme Hold Adhesive is paintable, durable, and a weather resistant rubbery solid. See tech spec sheet for additional information.
Directions:
- Clean surfaces to ensure it is free of loose material, grease, and debris.
- Cut tube nozzle to desired angle and thickness, and pierce inner foil seal.
- Insert into standard caulk gun. Hold at 45° angle and apply by pushing sealant ahead of nozzle to achieve a smooth seal.
- Smooth sealant with a wet finger or tooling instrument to ensure a neat appearance.
- Tooling should be completed within 15 minutes.
- Cure Time: Allow a minimum of 2 hours cure time before painting with latex or oil based paints. Length of time for full cure will depend on thickness of application and additional factors such as temperature and humidity.
Specifications: Meets ATMS-C920, ASTM-G26, and TTS-0230C performance specifications. Meets AAMA specifications 802.3 (Type II), 805.2, 808.3, and is USDA accepted.
