Comments about OC 703 - 1" Fiberglass Panels (12 Panels):
I am using the 703 panels in a room I am setting up for professional sound mixing. They do the job. I also have some 705 panels for different frequency absorption. The 705 panels are more crumbly and heavier to deal with. The 703 panels tend to hold their form very well, are lighter weight (good for hanging in corners and from the ceiling) and seem like they in general leave less fiberglass residue clinging all over the place.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about OC 703 - 1" Fiberglass Panels (12 Panels):
These were purchased for a ceiling on a home theater. I build wooden beams, and the soundproofing material set in squares between the beams. I covered them with a heavy furniture fabric. Looks good, does the job.

Customers Questions and Answers

1) Christy: The drywall has been removed on our kitchen ceiling which is below our master bedroom in order to place new canned lights. I would like to soundproof a bit. How is the best way to go about doing that?

Trademark Soundproofing Reply:

Hi Christie, Please read this article http://www.tmsoundproofing.com/How-to-Soundproof.html#ceiling - If you have any further questions just ask them at the bottom of that page and we will try our best to help you along.

2) steve: Looking for Owens Corning 703 in the 1 1/2" thickness? Can you help? Thanks. Steve

Trademark Soundproofing Reply:

Hi Steve. We carry the 1 and 2 inch thick. If you were looking for a large order of over 100 panels we can special order the 1.5 inch for you. Please be in touch with our sales department.

3) monika: One of the walls in our bedroom downstairs is by the street,(corner house) it is a busy street, traffic starts around 5am and then on and off through out the day. Want to know if these acoustic panels can be used on that wall and if they come wrapped or can be painted?? thanks monika

Trademark Soundproofing Reply:

Hi Monika, These panels can be used on a wall. They cannot be painted. They do come wrapped see our Acoustic Fabric Panels.

4) Terry F: Could this product be used as a duct liner in a hot air heating system? Particularly in the return duct

Trademark Soundproofing Reply: Hi Terry. Yes it can.

5) Dave G: Can these panels be glued together to make 1 large panel? If so, what is the method/adhesive for doing this?

Trademark Soundproofing Reply: They are fiberglass strands so a little difficult to glue. You can probably keep them together with screws or similar.
