Vision Proof Acoustic Louver - 40YSTC/80YSTC are a 1" deep cartridge design louver for use in doors of any thickness.  Made of cold rolled galvannealed steel with inverted 20 or 24 gauge 'Y' design blades encased in a  20 gauge 'U' surround frame. Product can be fitted straight into a rough opening that is 1/8" wider and higher than order size, molding and installation screws are not provided.  Louver free area is approximately 43% of order size.  

40YSTC/80YSTC Louvers are crafted with a layer of STC3003 lining for added acoustic properties.  STC3003 is a light-weight, high performance alternative to standard, conventional, sound-core materials.  It is nearly as effective as solid lead in stopping the transmission of sound between rooms and can dramatically increase STC values.

• Louver blade orientation blocks horizontal line of site for enhanced aesthetic and sound control properties.  Installed STC 3003 increases sound absorption with an STC rating of 19. 
• For use with any metal or wood door.
• Supplied without frame, user supplies molding.
• Aluminum insect screen is available as a factory installed  option.  Screen is trapped between the louver core and the louver back frame.
• Rough opening size is 1/8" wider and higher than order size.
• Louver free area is approximately 43% of the order size.
• Minimum order size: 6"x6", maximum order size: 40" x 84".  For sizes other than the listed choices, please contact us.
