Double doors are typically the weakest link in any partition that is designed to block sound. This is often due to poor sealing around the perimeter of the door. Astragals, Gasketing, Automatic Drop Seals and Doorway Thresholds can all be used to prevent sound from leaking through cracks between and around the door perimeter.

• An Astragal is a molding that closes the clearance gap between a pair of doors.  This astragal set is made of an aluminum track and with a solid silicone bulb seal. Astragal is rated for smoke, fire and air infiltration.

• The aluminum track is surface mounted to the edge of both doors in double door set. The casing is punched with elongated slots to allow for some adjustments after installation. 

• Fasteners options include Standard Screws or Screws plus Adhesive Backing. Select from options above. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.

• Solid silicone seal is made of high quality material that will not wear. The rubber remains flexible in cold weather and does not become soft in the heat, even through frequent usage

• Available in seven aluminum finishes and is priced per foot. Length is custom cut to size.

Review product specs to ensure product is compatible with your door. Measure the height of your door and select the length from above. Astragal is sold as a SET (2 Pieces), it is only necessary to enter length of one door.
