This Mass Loaded Vinyl is 1/4" thick and weighs two pounds per square foot adding heavy mass to your floors/walls without compromising on space. The 2 pound MLV is the ideal choice to lay down on floors under carpet or hardwood. Due to it's heavy weight and thickness it may get difficult to install on ceilings and sometimes even on walls. In those scenarios you should consider using the 1 pound Mass Loaded Vinyl (or the 1/2 pound MLV around pipes and ducts) and doubling up with a 2nd layer if needed.

Our MLV is the same material and fire rated as the other brand names so that you can comply with architectural specifications at our low price. You can also order many other variations including, reinforced, foil faced, and a foil/mass loaded vinyl/fiberglass decoupler product. Please contact us for details.
